In the recent analogy that I have made regarding the safety of the pedestrians, especially children, on the streets of Los Angeles, I can conclude that it is indeed hazardous for people to roam around the city particularly at night. This is very much evident on the huge number of vehicle drivers who defies the traffic rules and ignores the road signs. I even witness an accident wherein a motorcycle crashes to the sidewalk injuring the driver and two more pedestrians. This would also mean that the latest statistics, which shows that more than 25 road accidents happens everyday in California alone, is factual.

In the United States, there are roughly 110,000 innocent pedestrians who have been injured due to road accidents every year. This means an injured victim every seven minutes. And, at least 60,000 of these wounded died from these sorrowful incidents. Besides, in California alone, thousands of victims have been hit by speeding vehicles while they were simply crossing the streets. These numbers are really something to worry about especially because of the fact that most of the injured victims and the fatalities were elderly and children. No matter how strict people are in following road safety measures, people are still very much vulnerable of being injured in traffic mishaps which can cause instantaneous death.
